Coffee King is proud to be the new sponsor of Mold Rugby Football Club who presently play in the Welsh Rugby Union Division 2 North League. The team, under new Head Coach Oliver Heald, has got off to a smashing start this season with 3 wins and 0 losses, putting them at the top of the league table.
Director of Rugby Aled Ellis says, “We have enjoyed a great start to the season as we look to rebuild following the disappointment of last season. This wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of our players, coaches and management and of course the support of our sponsors. Thank you to Sean Le Tissier and the team at Coffee King for their generous sponsorship, it’s a long season ahead but we look forward to building on our success on and off the field.”
As part of the sponsorship deal, Coffee King have provided the club with the Home kit for the First Team. In addition, Coffee King will be active in supporting the club in all events and socials with sponsoring of trophies and of course supplying amazing coffees from award winning bean-to-cup fresh coffee machines.
There are currently close to 500 playing and non-playing members varying in all ages from aspiring internationals aged as young as 4, through to life members now enjoying the social and supporting side of the club.
Mold RFC have both Mini and Junior sections which run teams from U7s through to under 16s and a full-to-capacity Mini Minis (ages 4 and 5). There is also a very successful intermediate Youth team and four senior teams consisting of Veterans, 3rd's, 2nd's and 1st team.
The club has a history of both successful teams and individuals. Last season we were very proud of the achievements of our under 16s who came runners up in the North Wales Cup and our mini and junior teams who enjoyed success at numerous tournaments and festivals. Youth team products Will Bryan and Rhys Williams represented RGC 1404 in the Welsh Premiership and James King became only the fifth player to reach 200 appearances for The Ospreys. Outside of Wales Joe Sproston, Lloyd Hayes (Doncaster Knights) and Alex Schwarz (Cornish Pirates) played professional rugby in the English Championship.
There is substantial Junior and Mini representation at various NE Wales Schools, RGC East and RGC Academies. The Mini Section hosts an annual Minis Festival, with this season’s event on the 20th October.
Members and visitors to Mold RFC can now benefit from a barista style coffee experience with a wide selection of speciality coffee options, thanks to the installation of Coffee King’s bean-to-cup machine.
Mold Rugby Club is open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, weekends during the season and for Wales International Series matches.
