A season to remember….

Dear Mold Rugby Community,

As another exhilarating rugby season draws to a close, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude and extend our sincerest thank you to everyone involved at Mold RFC. The collective efforts of players, coaches, officials, volunteers, supporters and sponsors have once again made this season a memorable and successful one.

First and foremost, we want to thank the players of the 14 teams across the club, from the mini – minis up to the 1st team, who have dedicated countless hours to training, competing, and showcasing their skills on the field. You have entertained us with thrilling matches, breathtaking tries, and fierce rivalries that have kept us on the edge of our seats.

Congratulations to our first team who gained promotion to North 1 Division next year and are also North Wales Division 2 Cup winners (beating local rivals Wrexham twice in a Month was very special). The second team had an excellent season, losing only 3 games and finishing second in Division 3.  Our Youth team were also successful,  unbeaten in 2023, winning the North Wales Youth Championship Division and were recently 7’s bowl winners. An outstanding year of senior rugby.

To the coaches, thank you for your unwavering dedication in nurturing and guiding the players. Your expertise, strategic thinking, and tireless efforts have played a significant role in shaping the success of our teams and our club. Your ability to inspire and motivate the players has been instrumental in their development both as rugby players and more importantly as individuals.

A special thanks to the referees who have officiated matches with fairness, integrity, and professionalism. Your impartiality and understanding of the game have ensured that each match is played within the spirit of rugby.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to the countless volunteers who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes. From organising fixtures and managing logistics to running the club administration and maintaining facilities, your selflessness and hard work have been crucial in creating a supportive and thriving Mold Rugby Club. Without your efforts our club would not function.

Last but certainly not least, we want to thank the incredible parents,  supporters and sponsors who have stood by our teams through thick and thin. Your unwavering loyalty, passion, and enthusiasm have provided the teams with a vital boost, that truly enhances the rugby experience. Your support is the lifeblood of our sport.

To all those involved in rugby, thank you for your dedication and commitment throughout this season. Together, we have continued to build a strong and vibrant rugby community that celebrates the values of respect, teamwork, and inclusivity. We are immensely proud of what we have achieved together, and we look forward to the future with great anticipation.

Wishing you all a well-deserved break and a rejuvenating offseason. May the coming seasons be filled with even more remarkable moments and accomplishments.

Yours sincerely,

Mold RFC Trustees
