An early season visit to a cloudy Wrecsam, Mold u13's arrived at 09:45 for a 10:30 kick off and having warmed up without an opponent in sight we discovered it was actually an 11:00 kick off.

With a good physical start to the game and Mold conceding a number penalties for high tackles Wrecsam took advantage breaking the Mold line and shifting the ball well went over for a 5-0 lead.

Wrecsam continued to be disruptive at the ruck with a ridiculous amount of turnovers with some fast jackaling, Mold continued to work hard for metres and were unfortunate to go over only to be held up, Mold returned to their own style of play and moving the ball fast and wide Outside Centre Jack Smith ran home to dot the ball, 5-5, the first half continued to be played in the Wrecsam half with good pressure being placed on the ball carriers of Wrecsam and Mold, following a ruck turnover by Elis Hughes the ball moved through hands at speed again with both Oakley Wyn-Jones playing at 10 and Rhys Cochran playing at Inside Centre combining well to provide Jack Smith with his second try of the game, the conversion from Rhys Cochran taking the score to 5-12 at halftime.

The second half started well with two combative packs, Mold were drawn into a war of attrition with both packs fighting hard for possession with Wrecsam setting up in the Mold 22, as the half progressed Mold's fitness started to tell and when we played our fast ball we looked unplayable at times, after a period of twoing and frowing a Mold counter ruck was ran up the field by Ellis Hughes playing at Openside Flanker only to be tackled on the Wrecsam 22, with Mold support wining the ruck the ball again moved quickly through the hands of Mold's replacement 10, Felix Skeffington, and Rhys Cochran hitting a hard flat line and then offloading to Jack Smith who again showed a clean set of wheels to Wrecsam defence to score his hatrick of tries, with Rhys Cochran securing the extra points Mold ran out winners with a final score of Wrecsam 10 - 19 Mold.
