If you are thinking about joining Mold Rugby Club, please contact the Manager for the exact training times.

Rugby is about teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship. Our emphasis is about having fun and playing safely in an inclusive environment. Not only is the rugby fun, but playing for Mold RFC gives children the chance to enjoy the camaraderie and friendship that comes from being part of a team and part of a club that is one of the most successful in North Wales. We look forward to welcoming you.

Training

Where and When?

The location and times will depend on the age group. Please contact the age group's Manager for details.

How much does it cost?
For the first few sessions there is no charge. Once your child decides rugby is for them and would like to carry on training and play in matches, they will then need to join the Rugby Club and register with the Welsh Rugby Union. The Manager will be able to give you a breakdown of costs (we operate a Direct Debit System) and the next steps you will need to take.

What should they wear/bring?
Rugby shirts, shorts, rugby/football boots (suitable moulded boots when training on the 3G pitch), tracksuits/Joggers, gum shield, a drink and a change of clothes. Gum Shields are available from most Sports Shops and are relatively cheap, we do have a local Dentist who will make gum shields to order - please ask the Manager for further details.

My child has never played, will this be an issue?
At Mold Rugby Club all of our Managers, Coaches, First Aiders, Referess and other Volunteers are DBS checked and we are fortunate to have Welsh Rugby Union qualified Coaches, so no matter what your child's rugby ability or knowledge you can be confident that they are in the best place to be introduced to the game through the WRU development pathway.
