Result: Mold 35-14 Llandudno

A much anticipated game, with tin hats at the ready following last years controversy. The travelling supporters were in good voice and after a high intensity warm up the lads were ready to GO! 

After turnovers back and forth in the middle of the park Mold broke through down the wing and Alex D scored. Conversion followed 7-0 Mold.

A strong 5 minutes transpired with a number of elusive runs from Noah, Mold were back in the Llandudno 22 with penalties racking up. The pressure told and Oscar H went over line. Another solid conversion from Charlie H. 14-7 Mold.

Play began to open up and the superior fitness and discipline of Mold started to shine through. Jorge came off the bench offering fast feet and constantly gaining metres. Quick ball from the ruck, great distribution and Charlie H went over. 21-7 Mold

However, the game was not won, a couple of mistakes compounded by Llandudno pressure and Mold found themselves defending on their own try line. The lads held the line valiantly but eventually the pressure told. 21-14 Llandudno.

Mold responded as this team now does, lead by the superb captaincy Joe S, fired up and ready to strike back. A strong chase from the kick off by Dewi and resulting pressure … Mold drive Llandudno back within 10metres of there try line and secure a Mold line out… God only knows what call the lads made at the line out but off a strong driving maul Rhys broke free and over he went. ANOTHER Charlie H conversion.. Mold 28-14

Llandudno continued to threaten but with multiple turnovers by Oscar H and Harry winning 3 scrums against the head they struggled to get a foothold.

The game was there to be killed off, striking runs from the forwards and fast ball was playing dividends, the backs were lethal in the wide channels and the writing was on the wall. Another try for Charlie H and conversion.
