Mold u13's face a tough Caldy Festival, competing against some qulaity teams from across the Wirral.
Molds first game against Hoylake saw them satrt the competion with 3-0 win (english rules 1 point per try and no conversations), second up came the hosts Caldy and in fact was a very close and tense game with spoils being shared 2-2.
Mold then faced Birkenhead Park who's number 2 appeared to be just shy of 7ft tall, this appeared to be a trap and the main threat appear to be the wingers who covered the length of the pitch in a matter of seconds but on a positive note Joshua Blythin second his first competitive try this season, the result whoever didn't go our way 5-3 to Birkenhead Park.
Next up Anselmians, the game started of positively and seemed to be going in Molds favour, however picking a couple of injuries, Mold struggled to regain the tempo after a lengthy stop in play and Anselmians ran out 3-1 winners.
Mold finished the festival in the Bowl final against Hoylake, with a cup final display from the team and tries from Ellis Rogers (2), Dan Davies, Rhys Cochran and Louix Crossley Mold picked up Silverware in the Caldy Bowl winning 5-3.
All in all a good well ran festival and a good standard of rugby all round.
